Once enrolled, students may participate in computer assisted instruction, small group classes, or one-on-one tutoring. Instruction is offered at the Jessie Ball duPont Center or The Bethel Baptist Church. Both locations are in the downtown Jacksonville area.

Instruction is offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening based on the student’s current reading abilities and the availability of tutors. Tutoring is scheduled in public locations such as the Jacksonville Public Library. A student and his/her tutor determine a mutually agreeable public location and time to meet on a weekly basis.

To learn more or to schedule a student for an Intake Appointment with Learn to Read, please call 238-9000. Students referred from FSCJ must bring a referral form from an FSCJ advisor and a printout of their TABE test scores to their initial Intake Appointment.
